24 Shades of Spring

I love finding new, happy nail colors…especially when the seasons are transitioning. A fresh manicure is often an attitude changer. It can brighten your spirits…life your mood…pop a little pep in your step!

I am always curious to see what nail colors are being coveted by others and have been trying to keep an eye out for trends and inspiration lately. So, I decided to poll one very special group of ladies – my beloved MSU Pompon Team! I am lucky enough to coach these talented and spirit athletes, and often look to them for top trends, current styles and fun fashion.

I asked each team member (and two awesome assistant coaches) to share their current favorite nail color.

Lips by L’Oreal: 3 Ways

I have discovered three fabulous lip shades that will help you transition nicely from summer into fall!

Nude
Bright Plum
Red

Interestingly enough, and completely by chance (seriously) they all ended up being L’Oreal products. I sought out and purchased each one on very separate occasions over the last year or so. Apparently, L’Oreal makes a great lip product! (It’s fun to discover things virtually on accident!)

To me, these three colors are the perfect compliment for summer or fall. Don’t be afraid to change up your regular lip color. You will be surprised at what a difference it can make. Some may even call it empowering!

For me, this is an excellent nude shade.
With just a hint of pink undertone, it doesn’t wash me out.
Plus, the Color Riche Le Balm line is extremely hydrating
and acts more like a lip balm and color in one.
Perfect for those soon to be chilly fall evenings out!

Now we are talking some serious color.
I wouldn’t call the Infallible Le Rouge line moisturizing.
(it’s not drying either)
However, the lasting power of this little tube of color
trumps my need for a ‘balm’ in my lipstick.
I love the true POP in this gorgeous color that lasts for hours.
Warning, it is bright and bold and guaranteed to wake up your face!
(I adore this color!)

Red. Red. Red.
Red lipstick seems to be every girls nemesis.
Often they are too orange, or too blue, or just not the ‘right’ red.
Many ladies simply give up.
(I don’t blame you…it can go very wrong, very fast.)
For me, this color from the Colour Riche line wins.
I love it. It is the right tone for my coloring and allows
me to rock that perfect crimson pout.
Awesome tip:  I always line my lips with a nude pencil
before applying to avoid any color bleeding and to
increase staying power.

Colour Riche Balm

I have found a new lip balm that has become my go-to for the last month or so, and I figured it was time to share it with you!

Colour Riche Balm by L’Oreal — it is super smooth, moisturizing and adds a really pretty tint of color. It is glossy, but not too glossy and actually does act like a true balm and not a gloss. The product marketing claims that it should last up to 8 hours…it doesn’t (but do they ever?) Regardless, I really love the look and feel of this product and don’t care that it won’t last through the work day.

It comes in 8 very girlie and pretty colors for your pout. I am loving heavenly berry which is a nice pink with a mauvey/plum undertone. Kind of like a light and soft raspberry.
