Whether you pair them with a smart pair of shorts, layer over a flirty dress, or dress up a fabulous pair or white jeans, summer blazers are a wardrobe staple.
Awesome fabrics like linen, allow the blazer to breathe and for you to be covered up, without heating up. Plus, you can embrace your blazer as a true statement piece and celebrate with some color, or go beach chic with a pretty neutral palette.
Here are few choice blazers that I stumbled across:
1. The Limited
Are you ready to hang up your winter coats an embrace lighter fabrics in anticipation of warmer weather? Or maybe you are a lucky duck who lives in a warmer climate year-round. Recently in Michigan, we have had a weather identity crisis (totally normal for Michigan) and experienced some mid-range temps which, in reality, felt like the tropics to us Michiganders. With welcoming this comfortable weather, I started to pine for a time of dresses without tights, ankle cropped jeans without boots covering them up, and (of course) light-weight jackets as opposed to my down and wool outer layer of skin.
The revival of the light-weight anorak jacket is terrific because of the jacket’s nipped-in waist and general below-the-hip length, which flatters everyone. You wear it like you’d wear a trench coat in terms of outerwear, but I have even seen the anorak (depending on pattern and length) layered over a chic leather dress for the office or with a lace top and skirt for date night. Embrace the anorak!
2. Old Navy (orange)
3. Nordstrom (red)
4. Target (purple)
5. Michael Kors (beige)
